As a Security Officer - Logistics Distribution in Laredo, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and support daily operations. Your presence contributes to a welcoming environment by providing exceptional customer service and clear communication with staff and visitors. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry to the logistics and distribution location.
• Verify credentials and/or identification for all persons entering or exiting the premises.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, vendors, and employees with site-specific procedures and directions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe for any unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site policies.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by site policies and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Collaborate with logistics and distribution staff to address security-related concerns as they arise.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be able to speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
